Creating opportunities

| Prospect / Customer |
Specify the customer or prospect of the opportunity. The help list is displayed after typing at least 3 characters. The list displays the customers and prospects of the company. To quickly create a prospect from the field, specify the name of the prospect to be created in the field and click on Reference For more information about quickly creating a prospect, refer to Quickly when creating or modifying an opportunity. When the customer or prospect is specified, click on Note Blocking rules can be defined from the customer record sheet in order to restrict creating and modifying objects on this customer. | Customer site |
Specify the customer's or prospect's site. The help list is displayed after typing at least 3 characters. It displays active customers or prospects sites. Active customers and prospects sites are available from the Desktop Application > People > Customers/Prospects. Click on |

| Main contact |
Fill in the first letters of the contact associated with the opportunity. The drop-down list is displayed automatically with the relevant contacts. Select the relevant contact from the drop-down list. A user with the DMF 160402 TOOLS CONTACTS NEW can directly create a contact from this field. | Code | Specify a code for the opportunity. | |||||||||
| Call name | Specify a call name for the opportunity. This name identifies the opportunity and can be used for research. | |||||||||
| Amount | Fill in the amount associated with the opportunity. This amount is an estimate that can be detailed throughout the opportunity's life. | |||||||||
| Currency and Rate |
Select from the drop-down list the currency applied to the opportunity. By default, the selected currency is the company currency. The Rate field is automatically specified with conversion rate of the selected currency and cannot be modified. |

| No. Days | Fill in the number of days associated with the opportunity. This number is an estimate that can be detailed throughout the opportunity's life. | |||||||||
| Expected signature date | Fill in the estimated closing date. | |||||||||
| Sales manager |
Fill in the first letters of the employee in charge of the opportunity. The help list is displayed automatically with the relevant employees. Select the desired employee from the help list. By default, the employee creating the opportunity is already filled in. |

| Tags |
Specify the first letter of the tag you are looking for to open the list of relevant tags, then click on the tag to add it to the opportunity. This list only displays tags of the Opportunity type. You can add as many tags as necessary. Tip Press F2 to open the list of all the tags available for opportunities. A user with the 091202 ADMINISTRATOR TAGS NEW DMF can directly create a tag from this field. To create a new tag right away:

| Stage |
If a default stage is set up in the pipeline setup on which you are creating the opportunity, the field will be pre-filled with this stage. If no stage is specified, the opportunity will be created in the first pipeline stage. When the user has the 191421 WEB PORTAL OPPORTUNITIES MODIFY DEFAULT STAGE FOR CREATION DMF, they can chose in which stage the opportunity is created. |

| Origin type | Select the origin type from the drop-down list. If an origin type is checked by default in the sales opportunities origin type setup (Desktop Application > Tools > Setup > General setup > Sales > Type of sales opportunity source) then it will be the one specified by default. | |||||||||
| Source | Specify the origin of the opportunity. |
| 4 | Click on Validate. |
The screen displays the Header view or the quotation in creation.
| 5 | If needed, specify other information on the opportunity record sheet: lines, header, activities, contacts, etc. |

Depending on the required fields set up for stages, a window opens displaying the fields that must be specified for the selected stage.
