Creating a main contact

A main contact can be created directly from the Main contact field:

  • in the header information of an opportunity;
  • in the creation screen of an opportunity.
1 In the Main contact empty field, specify the last name then first name and click on on the right of the field.
2 Specify the information of the Identity section:
Field Description
Title Specify the contact's title.
Name

Specify the contact's last name.

By default, the last name specified in the Main contact field is automatically specified.

First name

Specify the contact's first name.

By default, the first name specified in the Main contact field is automatically specified.

3 Specify the information of the Contact details on customer site section:
Field Description
Phone number Specify the contact's landline phone number.
Cellphone Specify the contact's cell phone number.
Email Specify the contact's email address.
4 Check the options desired in the Specifics about customer site section:
Field Description
Decision-maker Check the box if the contact is a decision-maker.
Financial contact

Check the box if the contact is a financial contact.

The contact will have access to the Invoices tab on the Customer Portal.

Main contact Check the box if the contact is a main contact.
Sales contact Check the box if the contact is a sales contact.
5 If needed, specify Notes in the Notes about the customer site section.
6 Click on Save.

The contact is created and specified in the Main contact field of the Header view. The contact is visible in the Contacts view of the opportunity.
