Defining required fields for opportunity stages

Custom controls can be created in order to define the fields required for each pipeline stage. Thus, when a employee changes the stage of an opportunity or marks the opportunity as won, the fields defined as required for the relevant stages must be specified.

The custom control setup window opens.
| 3 | On the right of the Custom controls section, click on |
| 4 | In the drop-down list of the Area to control field, select the field to set as required. |
| 5 | In the Field properties section > Input required field, click on: |
- Yes to make the field always required.
- Keyword to make the field required only when the keyword specified in the Input required if field applies.
| 6 | If needed, define more options for the custom control. |

The custom control is created and the relevant field is required for the relevant stage. Refresh the page to take the modification into account.
To make a field no longer required for a stage, the relevant custom control must be deleted.
