Managing custom controls

Custom controls allows you to define configurations for each company, division or entity in order to customize form fields (for example, make a field required or hide a field).

When the user clicks on in the upper bar of the screen, the setup mode is enabled on the portal. Areas that can be set up are identified by a frame and the
icon at the top right.
The following icons are displayed at the left of each field that can be set up:

- indicates that the area does not contain any custom control;
-
- indicates that the area contain at least one custom control;
-
- indicates that a standard set up or a trigger applies.
It is possible to click on these icons to access the configuration of the area, but it does not allow you t o access a the configuration of a specific field.
When hoovering over an icon, the name of the field and the custom controls applied to it are displayed in a tooltip.
Tip
When clicking on the icon displayed at the left of a field, the name of the field is copied to the clipboard. It can be easily specified by doing a CTRL + V in the Area to control field.


It is possible to create a configuration of custom controls for search criteria of a web portal or for a input form. In order to get both a configuration for search criteria and input forms for the same portal, it is necessary to create two different configurations: one for search criteria and another one for input form.

Select the company on which the setup must be done from the drop-down list. |

Search form hidden (only available if the area to configure is a search area) |
Check this box to hide the whole search area of this menu. The search will be automatically launched with the custom controls applied to the search criteria. |

Allows you to make the field required or not. Yes: the field is required. No: the field is not required. Keyword (requires the feature flag Controles Param Avec Mot Cle): the field is required when the keyword specified in the Input required if applies. |
Default static value |
Specify a value to display by default for the field. |
Or default value by keyword (requires the feature flag Controles Param Avec Mot Cle) |

Static list of values |
Specify the value(s) that can be displayed in the field from a drop-down list. This field is only available when the Area to control is a free field. |

Select the keyword of List of values type for which the values can be selected in the field. |
Free input among list of values |
Check this box so you can choose a value from the drop-down list or specify manually another value. The values displayed in the drop-down list are the one specified in the Static list of values field. When the box is not checked, it is only possible to select a value from the drop-down list. It is only possible to check this box when the Area to control is a free field. |
Multiple-choice |
Check this box to authorize the input of multiple values in the field among the values of the drop-down list. The values displayed in the drop-down list are the one specified in the Static list of values field. It is only possible to check this box when the Area to control is a free field. |
Additional information | If needed, specify the additional information that will be displayed in a tooltip when hoovering over the field. |
Or by keyword (requires the feature flag Controles Param Avec Mot Cle) |
Select the keyword to display in a tooltip when hoovering over the field from the drop-down list. |

The custom control is created. Refresh the screen so the custom control can be taken into account.

An existing configuration with custom controls can be modified.
1 | Under the Configurations section on the left of the window, select the configuration to modify. |
2 | Under the Custom controls section on the right of the window, click on |
3 | Modify the desired information. |
4 | Click on Save. |
5 | Click on Close. |
The custom control is modified. Refresh the screen so the modification can be taken into account.

It is possible to delete an existing custom control without deleting the configuration itself.

The custom control is deleted. Refresh the screen so the deletion can be taken into account.

It is possible to delete a configuration and all custom controls associated.
