Changing stages of an opportunity
| DMF | 010204 PROSPECTING OPPORTUNITIES SEARCH |
An opportunity pipeline contains different sales stages to manage the progress of each opportunity depending on the sales team's specific processes. Opportunities that have just been created are added to the first stage. To show opportunities are progressing, they must be moved from stages to stages. The sales person assigned to the opportunity has to specify information about the opportunity at each step.
Example
An opportunity is in the Product demo stage. The next stage is the Negotiation one. To move the opportunity to the negotiation stage, I must specify fields regarding the business proposal: the amount, the probability, the sales manager, and so on.
| 1 | From the opportunity pipeline in Kanban view, drag and drop the opportunity card to the column of the stage desired. |
Depending on the required fields set up for stages, a window opens to display the fields that must be specified to move to the new stage.
Reference
To define the required fields for each stage, refer to Defining required fields for opportunity stages.
