Once the person in charge of the task has work in the context of his task, they can input the time spent on the task.
Important
If the connected user is not the person in charge of the task, the timesheets will be added to the connected user and not the person in charge of the task. The DMF 141424 HELPDESK TASKS ADD TIME ON A TASK I AM NOT ASSIGNED TO or 142614 HELPDESK SIMPLIFIED ISSUE ADD TIME ON A TASK I AM NOT ASSIGNED TO is required to input time on a task without being assigned to it.

The direct input of timesheets allows you to input your timesheets in the context of a task, for the connected user and on the issue's assignment.
1 | From the issue, open the desired task. |
2 | In the timesheet field, input your timesheet in hours and click on |
The timesheet is added to the connected user, on the issue's assignment. The cumulative time spent on the task is indicated in the Total time field of the task.
Important
In the following cases, a timesheet cannot be add and the detailed timesheet window automatically opens:
- There is no task on the issue's assignment.
- No default action code is specified in the task type setup, and at least two action codes are allowed for the project and the employee.
- The default action code specified in the task type setup is not allowed for the project or the employee, and at least two other codes are allowed.
In one of these cases, it will be necessary to make a detailed timesheet to input the missing information (see Inputting detailed timesheet).
Otherwise, the timesheet is created and the action code associated is defined according to the following priority order:
- The action code specified is the one associated by default in the task type setup if this code is authorized for the project and the employee.
- If the default action code in the setup of the task type is not allowed for the project or the employee, then the action code associated is the only action code authorized for the project and the employee.
Tip
To correct the timesheet specified on the task, specify the -xx.yy value in the Timesheet field and click on . The cumulative time spent on the card will automatically be updated.

The detailed timesheet specifying allows you to specify time on another task than the task's issue, and / or with another action code than the one defined in the task type setup.
1 | From the issue, open the desired task. |
2 | Next to the Timesheet field, click on Enter. |
3 | In the Time input window, specify the following fields: |
- the Date to use for the time entry (current day by default);
- the time spent on the task in the Timesheet field. Click on
or
to add or remove 10 minutes. If you are the employee in charge of the task, this field is pre-filled with the time elapsed since you took charge of the task (refer to Assigning a task to yourself).
If a default action code is specified in the task type setup and authorized for the project and employee, then the field is automatically pre-filled. If this action code is not authorized but there is only one other action code authorized, then the action code will be automatically pre-filled.
The other fields are specified with the issue's information, however the values can be changed if needed.
The Templates section displays the list of the user's quick entries. Click on a quick entry to automatically fill in the fields in the Timesheet input section.
The Weekly timesheet section displays an overview of the time spent by the user during the week of the Date. The time spent on the current task can be adapted depending on the weekly overview, for example if the daily number of work hours should not be exceeded.
Note
When the TPS_ACTION_2
management rule is enabled, the Action code 2 field is displayed in the timesheet entry window on a task.
4 | When the fields are specified, click Validate. |
The time is added to the timesheet for the connected user, on the specified allocation and day. The cumulative time spent on the task is indicated in the Total time field of the task.
