Assigning a task to yourself and freeing the task
Prerequisite: The task must be in progress (not completed).
A user can assign a task to themselves to indicate that they are working on the task.
This feature is also makes inputting timesheets easier because the time spent while the task is assigned will be calculated and entered automatically in the Timesheet field when inputting a detailed timesheet (see Inputting detailed timesheet).

If you are not the person to which the task is assigned, a message is displayed:
- Click on YES to take the task by becoming the person assigned to the task.
- Click on No to take the task without becoming the person assigned to the task.
You took the task. The indication In progress since the mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm by First name LAST NAME is displayed at the top of the task panel.
Prerequisite: the task must be taken.
The action of freeing a task allows you to indicate that you have finish to work on the task. It is recommended to input your timesheets before freeing the task because this action resets the time elapsed during the take of the task.

If you are not the person who took the task, a message is displayed:
- Click on Yes to free the task.
- Click on No to change your mind and not free the task.
