Projects options

Projects options are used on employees record sheets and project record sheets. These options allows you to, amongst others, to define timesheets and planning valuation, along with the input mode of timesheets and plannings for employees. This setup needs to be done in the ***** tab.
This setup is available from Tools > Setup > General setup > Projects > Project options.
Under the General parameters section, select among the following options:

| Entering the project in a quotation is not required |
Allows you to make the Project field not required when creating a quotation. |
| Billing schedule: mark lines as "To bill" | Allows the sales manager or project manager specified on the project record sheet to mark the lines of the billing schedule as To be billed. |
| Mission and secondment management |
Allows the employee to ask for an authorization to the manager before leaving for a business trip. When creating the expense report, allows you to specify the mission number. The |
| Management of text tables by project | Allows you to manage text tables by project. |
| Labor in men/months |
Allows you to analyze the labor in men/months in the budget control and the budget input (i.e. for the budget control menu or analytical financial position statement). |

Under the Method for valuation of timesheets and schedules (Costs) section, select the desired option to calculate the unit cost of labor on quotations:

| Value based on cost of the employee's entity |
Allows you to take into account the valuation based on the cost of the employee's entity. |
| Value based on direct daily cost of action |
Allows you to take into account the valuation based on the daily direct cost of the action. The daily direct cost of the action is available from the code action record sheet in Tools > Setup > General setup > Resources and Labor > Actions then in Action cost section > Cost per day sold line / Direct column. |
| Action valuation at direct hourly cost |
Allows you to take into account the valuation at the direct hourly cost of the action. The hourly direct cost of the action is available from the code action record sheet in Tools > Setup > General setup > Resources and Labor > Actions then in Action cost section > Cost per hour sold line / Direct column. |
| Employee valuation at direct hourly cost |
Allows you to take into account the valuation at the direct hourly cost of the employee. The direct hourly cost of the employee is available from the employee record sheet > Values section > Direct hourly cost field. For more information, refer to Values. |
| Value based on standard hourly cost of the employee |
Allows you to take into account the valuation at the standard hourly cost of the employee. The standard hourly cost of the employee is available from the employee record sheet > Values section > Standard hourly cost field. For more information, refer to Values. |
| Value based on the direct hourly cost of the employee + hourly cost of the action |
Allows you to take into account the valuation at the sum of the direct hourly of the employee and the direct hourly cost of the action. The direct hourly cost of the employee is available from the employee record sheet > Values section > Direct hourly cost field. For more information, refer to Values. The hourly direct cost of the action is available from the code action record sheet in Tools > Setup > General setup > Resources and Labor > Actions then in Action cost section > Cost per hour sold line / Direct column. |
| Value based on the daily cost of the employee |
Allows you to take into account the valuation at the daily cost of the employee. The daily cost of the employee is available from the employee record sheet > Values section > Direct cost field. For more information, refer to Values. |
| Value based on standard hourly cost of action |
Allows you to take into account the valuation at the standard hourly cost of the action. The standard hourly cost of the action is available from the code action record sheet in Tools > Setup > General setup > Resources and Labor > Actions then in Action cost section > Cost per hour sold line / Standard column. |
| Value based on the direct hourly cost of the employee * factor specified for the action |
Allows you to take into account the valuation at the direct hourly cost of the employee multiplied by the factor of the action The direct hourly cost of the employee is available from the employee record sheet > Values section > Direct hourly cost field. For more information, refer to Values. The valuation factor of the action is available from the action code record sheet in Tools > Setup > General setup > Resources and Labor > Actions then Action cost > Valuation coefficient field. |
| Weighting factor (%) | Allows you to define the weighting factor in percent. |
Under the Method for valuation of timesheets and schedules (sales prices), select the desired option for the sales price when rebilling to the customer:

| Daily sales price of the task | Allows you to indicate that the daily sales price taken into account is the one of the task. |
| Employee's daily sales price | Allows you to indicate that the daily sales price taken into account is the one of the employee. |
| Share sale price | Allows you to indicate that the sales price taken into account is the one of the action. |
| Project shares sale price | Allows you to indicate that the daily sales price taken into account is the one of the actions on the project. |
| Unit of share sale price |
Select the unit of the sales price of the action code of the timesheet specified by the employee in their timesheets (Resources and Labor > Action > Action cost section).

Under the Choice of time and schedule input mode section:

| Time input mode | Select the time input mode for employees (int hours minutes or in hundredth hours). |
| Schedule input mode | Select the schedule input mode for employees (in days or in hours). |
Under the Intra-group time valuing method section, select the desired option for the sales price for the intra-group rebilling:

| Daily sales price of the task | Allows you to indicate that the daily sales price taken into account is the one of the task. |
| Employee's daily sales price | Allows you to indicate that the daily sales price taken into account is the one of the employee. |
| Share sale price | Allows you to indicate that the sales price taken into account is the one of the action. |
| Project shares sale price | Allows you to indicate that the daily sales price taken into account is the one of the actions on the project. |

This information is retrieved in priority from the tab of the relevant company. If no information is specified in the company tab then it will be taken from the ***** tab.
Under the Choice of quotation cost input mode section, select the Quotation cost input mode (in days or in hundredth hours).
Under the Conversion rules section, specify the following fields:

| Day in hours | Allows you indicate the number of hours is worth a day of work. |
| Men/months in days | Allows you indicate the number of days is worth a cost in men/months. |
Under the Time input calendar limits section, specify the following fields:

Allows you to indicate the limit of the schedule input in days before today's date. When the limit is set to 0, time entry is only allowed from the current date onward. If the field is left empty, no calendar restriction is applied. |
| Relative to the current date (days after) |
Allows you to indicate the limit of the schedule input in days after today's date. When the limit is set to 0, time entry is only allowed up to the current date. If the field is left empty, no calendar restriction is applied. |
| Input limited ti current month | Check this box to limit the schedule input to the current month. |
