Dissociating a scheduled item

DMF 250104 PROJECT SCHEDULE VIEW DISSOCIATE SCHEDULED ITEM

A scheduled item can be dissociated, meaning it can be split into several scheduled items. For example, this feature can be used to split one day of a scheduled item to plan it on other days.

1 In the calendar, right-click on a scheduled item and click on Dissociate.

The dissociation window opens and, by default, suggests dissociating the item into two.

2 Click on or to specify the number of items you want your item to be dissociated into, keeping in mind the minimum number is two.
3 Modify the duration of each item.

Important

The total duration of the dissociated items must be equal to the duration of the original scheduled item.

4 Specify the information:
Section Description
Periodicity

Set the interval at which the scheduled items will be created:

  • Specify a value in the Every field;
  • Check the desired periodicity (day(s), week(s), month(s), etc.).

Example

You dissociate an item scheduled on October 4, 2020 into 3 items. You specify 2 in the Every field and you check Month(s). When dissociating, 3 scheduled items will be created with a 2-month interval:

  • 1 scheduled item on October 4, 2020;
  • 1 scheduled item on December 4, 2020;
  • 1 scheduled item on February 4, 2021.
Items status

Select:

  • Keep status to keep the validated or non-validated status of the original item when dissociating.
  • Validated to apply the validated status to all created items (Validated box checked).
  • Non-validated to apply the non-validated status to all created items (Validated box unchecked).
Allowed days

Define whether or not the days not worked of an employee must be taken into account by checking the Allow on Saturdays, Allow on Sundays and Allow on national holidays boxes.

When a scheduled item falls on a day not allowed when dissociating, that item is automatically postponed until the next allowed day.

The PLG_AUTORISER_LES management rule can be used to automatically check these options when creating, duplicating, dissociating or postponing a scheduled item.

5 Click on Dissociate.

The scheduled item is dissociated based on the specified information. Remaining information from the original schedule is kept as is on all created items.
