050704 INVENTORY LINKS BETWEEN PRODUCTS SEARCH

Article links allow, in the context of rebilling, to determine which type of expense or action code to associate with a purchased or sold product.

This setup is available from Tools > Setup > General setup > Sales > Article links.

In the setup screen, select the Link type to create, then specify the required fields in the table:

Type of link to create Description
Type of expense >  Sold item

Allows defining the sold product to use when rebilling expenses to an external customer (for example, in the context of customer rebilling for expenses and timesheets).

In the Expense type column, select from the help list the expense type to link to the sold product.

In the Grouping and Reference columns, select from the help list the grouping and reference of the sold product.

In the Details column, specify any additional information to include with the link, if needed.

Upon saving, the Company column is automatically specified with the company used for connection.

Type of expense >  Sold item (intra-group)

Allows defining the sold product to use when rebilling expenses in the context of intra-group rebilling.

Important

This setup must be done on the ***** tab. The relevant expense types must be created on the ***** company too.

In the Expense type column, select from the help list the expense type to link to the sold product.

In the Grouping and Reference columns, select from the help list the grouping and reference of the sold product.

In the Details column, specify any additional information to include with the link, if needed.

Upon saving, the Company column is automatically specified with the ***** company.

Purchased items > Sold items

Allows defining the sold products to use in the context of intra-group subcontracting, in order to ensure consistency between the sales invoice and invoice created when rebilling expenses and timesheets.

In the Purchased item grouping column, select from the help list the purchased item grouping to link to the sold product. The Purchased item reference is automatically specified upon selecting the product.

In the Grouping and Reference columns, select from the help list the grouping and reference of the sold product.

In the Details column, specify any additional information to include with the link, if needed.

Upon saving, the Company column is automatically specified with the company used for connection.

Action > Product Sold

Allows defining the sold product to use when rebilling expenses to an external customer (for example, in the context of customer rebilling for expenses and timesheets).

In the Main skill column, select from the help list the main skill to link to the sold product.

In the Action column, select from the help list the action code to link to the sold product.

In the Grouping and Reference columns, select from the help list the grouping and reference of the sold product.

In the Coefficient field, specify a coefficient to apply when generating costs of an order from a quotation line.

In the Details column, specify any additional information to include with the link, if needed.

Upon saving, the Company column is automatically specified with the company used for connection.

Action > Sold item (intra-group)

Allows defining the sold product to use in the context of intra-group rebilling for timesheets.

Important

This setup must be done on the ***** tab. The relevant action codes must be created on the ***** company too.

In the Main skill column, select from the help list the main skill to link to the sold product.

In the Action column, select from the help list the action code to link to the sold product.

In the Grouping and Reference columns, select from the help list the grouping and reference of the sold product.

In the Coefficient column, select a coefficient to apply.

In the Details column, specify any additional information to include with the link, if needed.

Upon saving, the Company column is automatically specified with the ***** company.

Action > Product Purchased

This link is used when generating receptions in the context of sub-contracting.

In the Action colum, select from the help list the action code to link to the purchased product.

In the Grouping and Reference columns, select from the help list the grouping and reference of the purchased product.

In the Details column, specify any additional information to include with the link, if needed.

Upon saving, the Company column is automatically specified with the company used for connection.
