Multiple duplication

The setup screen for duplicating individual and multiple year-based projects allows you to decide which types of scheduled items, timesheets and management objects you want to duplicate to the new projects during the duplication of projects. This setup can be done on the ***** company or on each company independently.

This screen is accessible in Tools > Setup > General setup > Project > Batch duplication.

Field Description
Duplication of schedules

Check or uncheck the From timesheets and/or From schedules to duplicate when duplicating year-based projects. Timesheets in the Hours.minutes format will be rounded up to the nearest day quarter.

Example

When duplicating year-based projects, validated and done scheduled items must be duplicated to the new projects: in the setup screen, check From schedules then Validated and Done.

Quotations must also be duplicated: check Quotations under the Duplication of management objects section.

Note

Multi-project management objects cannot be duplicated. After the duplication, the new objects on the new projects will not be validated.

Duplication of management objects

Check or uncheck the boxes of the management objects to duplicate.

Increase rate

Specify the increase rate to apply to the duplicated management object. This field allows you to multiply the pre-tax amount of the objects by the value entered in the field (new price= former price * increase rate).

Important

The management objects in Draft status are not duplicated.

Example

To apply a 1.5% increase rate, I must specify 1.015. Prices will then be multiplied by 1.015 (without dividing by 100), which is equivalent to a 1.5% increase.

Action code

If needed, add action codes to the table by using the Action code field. If one or more action codes are entered, only the scheduled items and timesheets that have this action code are duplicated.

Duplication of service projects Check this box so the service projects created for the subcontracting are duplicated.
